5 healthy tea time snacks

 

It is now 4:30 in the evening. Although you feel hungry, you just had your lunch two hours earlier. You still have four to five hours before your dinner. There's nothing better than a cup chai with some snacks. Talk about evening tea and your mind will wander to samosas or kachoris and pakodas. These foods can be very harmful to your weight, blood sugar and cholesterol levels. This doesn't mean that you should make your evening tea a miserable affair. You can't starve yourself, but binge-eating later will make it worse. Here are 5 healthy tea snacks.

Pumpkin seeds

Pumpkin seeds are full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, flavour, and nutrients. These can be boiled, roasted, or baked. To make a tasty snack, sprinkle some cayenne pepper, curry powder or chipotle oil on the seeds.

Sprouts

A bowl of brightly colored sprouts is a popular healthy snack option. Put chickpeas and moong dal in some water, then wait until they are slit open. To give them a kick of spice, you can either have them by themselves or add tomatoes and cucumber to the mix. Peanuts

Trail Mix of Nuts

There are many antioxidants in almonds as well as cashews walnuts, dates, prunes, and walnuts. They are high in fibers which can help you lose weight. One handful of nuts can be a great way to improve your heart health. This is because nuts are high in unsaturated fats. It helps reduce inflammation and protects the heart. They may also improve your good cholesterol.

Apple Sticks

Make sure to choose firm apples. Wash and dry them well. Remove the stems and stick craft sticks into the skewers. Place them in the refrigerator and make caramel. To remove excess caramel from the apples, hold the stick. Place the apple on waxed tissue and allow it to cool.
